Riders who take their bikes on trains face disruption over the coming weeks as buses replace trains on some metropolitan routes in Melbourne.
On the Frankston line, buses will replace trains between Moorabbin and Mordialloc from 8.30pm to the last service each night between Sunday 1 October and Wednesday 4 October.
This is due to the removal of the level crossings at Warrigal Road in Mentone and Parkers Road in Parkdale, with a rail bridge over the road and a new Parkdale Station.
On the Hurstbridge line, buses will replace trains between Heidelberg and Greensborough for one continuous week, starting Friday 13 October at 8.30pm and finishing with the last service on Thursday 19 October.
On the Craigieburn line, closure is planned between Broadmeadows and Craigieburn between 8.30pm on Friday 6 October and the last service on Sunday 8 October.
Riders should note that bikes are not permitted to be carried on replacement buses, unless they are folded and bagged.
