Recall: Bike baby seat flaw

Decathlon has recalled its Baby Seat 100 B-CLIP Bicycle Baby Carrier.

The connection point between the seat's plastic shell and the buckle may break.

If the connection point between the seat and the buckle breaks, the child may not be adequately restrained and there is a risk of the child falling from the seat, resulting in serious injury.

The seat is intended for children aged 9 months to 4-5 years, weighing under 22 kg.

The seat is compatible with 26" or 28" Btwin Decathlon mountain, hybrid and city bikes with B'Clip pannier rack.

Consumers should stop using the product and return the product to the nearest Decathlon store for a full refund.

The product was sold at Decathlon stores in Tempe and Auburn, NSW, Box Hill and Knoxfield in Victoria, and online.

It was available for sale from 1 October 2019 until 2 January 2020.
