National Ride2School Day is Australia’s biggest celebration of active travel and one of the best days on the school calendar. It is the perfect opportunity for Australian students and school communities to embrace a healthier start and to try walking and riding to school for themselves.

To register your school:

1. Login to your Ride2School portal here
2. Select the National Ride2School Day tab
3. Select your school and register

2. Select the Grants tab
3. Complete the application

Ride2School grants are open in Term 1 and Term 3 each school year. Before applying for a Ride2School grant, please read the criteria here to ensure you are eligible.

In order to ensure that school’s get the most out of our initiatives, we want to make sure that they’re the right ones for your school. To do this, Ride2School offers a tailored approach where we match initiatives based on your school’s specific barriers. We also require a commitment from your school to the Ride2School program and promoting active travel through the regular collection of HandsUp! counts.

If you want to get involved in the Ride2School program and find out what initiatives would help your school’s barriers, please get in touch at ride2school@bicyclenetwork.com.au

The Ride2School program is designed to work with whole school communities to increase active travel, rather than individual families. If you and your children would like to get involved, please contact your school to find out how you can support them in encouraging active travel. Even if your school is not involved with the Ride2School program, we still encourage you and your children to actively travel every day.

1. Select one day per week to count
2. Ask students how they travelled to school that day
3. Record the results using a HandsUp! count sheet

3. Select the week the data is for
4. Enter your data and submit

3. Find the data entry you need to change
4. Select Edit
5. Adjust the data and save

1. Go to the Ride2School portal login page here
2. Click on Forgotten your password at the bottom of the form
3. Enter your email and reset

4. Change details and save
