Camping options
Included – with general entry
When registering for the ride, you will have the option to select which camping zone you plan to sleep in each night. Selecting a camping zone helps us plan how much space each zone needs at each campsite.
General camping
General camping is part of your ticket, and includes a camping spot for you, your tent and your bike. Lights out in general camping is 10:00pm.
Quiet camping
Perfect for those seeking a little tranquillity with their camping experience. With an early curfew of 9:30pm, we ask quiet campers to keep noise levels to a minimum and respect the serenity of the quiet camping area.
Women’s Community
If you are wanting to ride and camp with our Women’s Community you can pitch a tent in the Women’s Community camping zone.
Sightseers (NEW)
Are you known for cruising along at the back of pack, soaking up the sights, or bringing your family and know those little legs will slow you down?
The sightseers camping zone is perfect for those that plan to arrive at the campsite towards the end of the ride day and are looking for a dedicated space to set up camp for the night.
Upgrades – purchased separately
Dome tent
Don’t have a tent, or not keen to put up your own each day? Book a dome tent and simply bring your own sleeping bag and bedroll. Our brilliant team will pick out a prime spot at the campsite and set up your tent each night, so you can kick back at the end of a day’s riding.
A dome tent must be purchased in addition to your Great Vic entry and sleeps two people. Limited tents available.

Stand up tent
After a little extra luxury? Our stand-up upgrades include a premium tent which will be pitched and waiting for you when you arrive. These tents include extra headroom—so you can easily get changed standing up—and two bedrolls to ensure you’re extra comfy at night.
A lux stand-up tent is a roomier and newer version of the stand-up tent.
A stand-up tent must be purchased in addition to your Great Vic entry and sleeps two people. Don’t forget to pack your own sleeping bag and pillow. Limited tents available.

Transport
Coach transport
Let us take the hassle out of getting home from the ride. Our coach services will transport you, your bike and luggage and operate out of a range of metro and regional areas. Infants ride free!
Simply book with your ride ticket when you register or access your registration to add optional extras.
Long term car park
Prefer to drive? Our long-term car parks (LTCP) are conveniently located at the finish line so you can access your car as soon as you’ve finished the ride.
Coach transport (above) is available to transfer you and your bike to the start line and needs to be booked separately. Please note that buses will leave as soon as they fill up, so we encourage you leave plenty of time to spare.
Riders need to purchase one car park ticket per car and one coach transfer ticket per person.
Pick-up & drop-off
Alternatively, you can organise your own transport to/from the event using private transport. See pick-up and drop-off locations for more information.
Charge up
Secure overnight e-bike charging
We’ve made it easier for e-bike riders to join the Great Vic! We are very pleased to offer overnight charging for e-bike batteries on the Great Vic in one simple add-on.
Charging will be available at each campsite in a secure space overnight. Plus, we’ll transport your charger for the duration of the ride so you don’t need to worry about it. Simply drop off your bike before 6:00pm each day (the earlier the better to ensure it is fully charged) and pick it up in the morning between 6:30am – 7:30am.
How does it work?
Step 1 – Check in with the team when you arrive and drop off your e-bike charger.
Step 2 – Bring your battery to be charged after each ride day (or bike if you can’t remove the battery)
Step 3 – We’ll charge it overnight so it’s full of juice for the day ahead.
Step 4 – Pick up your battery by 7:30am and happy riding!
Please ensure you are familiar with our e-bike policy. We recommend bringing two batteries for your e-bike to ensure a full charge each day of riding.
NEW | Metung Hotsprings Bathing and golf
Enhance your Great Vic experience with an incredible Metung Hotsprings and country club with a luxurious bathing session or 9-holes of golf. Set on a natural undulating site overlooking the magnificent Gippsland Lakes, the wellness destination is fast becoming an icon in the region.
Bathing
Relaxation starts as soon as you book your visit to the Bathing Ridge, a place for families and friends to bathe and relax while connecting in nature. Wander among the hot spring pools of varying depths, experience cold plunges, geothermal showers, sauna, reflexology walk, relaxation lounges and nature trails.

#1 – From Lakes Entrance (Multiple sessions)
- 60-minute session (multiple session times available)
- Including complimentary towel
- Transport (20mins) to and from Lakes Entrance campsite included.
- Please note, the start time you select is when the coach departs the from the campsite.

- 8am departure from Sale campsite (1hr 20min travel time to and from)
- Lunch time arrival back at Sale campsite

9-hole golf
A resort style, Ted Parslow designed golf course, the Metung Country Club is one of the best 9-hole public access golf courses in Australia. Located in beautiful Metung on the Gippsland Lakes, spend your afternoon down at the Country Club.
Session times and inclusions:
- Complimentary clubs, cart and transport to and from Lakes Entrance
- 2pm departure time from campsite (20mins travel time)
- 5pm departure from Country Club (20mins travel)
Price: $65 per group of four guests (only one person needs to make the booking).

AllTrails Bicycle Tours – Great Vic 2023 package
The Great Vic Bike Ride has partnered with AllTrails Bicycle Tours since 2005 to provide a fully supported experience with some extra comforts for those who would prefer not to camp.
The AllTrails Bicycle Tours package includes:

What do I get?
PLATINUM CLUB members get priority access to our retail space and our workshop facilities. Members will jump the que for all their cycling needs and bike repairs with a dedicated members only line at all sites. (This includes morning pick up of bike repairs)
- Members get 20% off all accessories during the event.
- Members get 20% off all parts needed for their bike repairs. (there is no discount on labour)
- If there are any sale items members receive an additional 10% off sale items!
- FREE chain lube and chain wipe down (including lube) during the event.
