Some sections of the Djerring Trail shared user path along Carinish Road, Clayton (between 1 to 31 March) and in the Westall area (1 to 30 April) will be temporarily closed to enable trenching work to be completed for signals.
Closures will be clearly signed with traffic management and detours in place as required.
The Metro Tunnel Project is installing next-generation High Capacity Signalling trackside equipment and associated technology.
This will require machinery access and material delivery into the rail corridor.
The shared user path will remain accessible, but to enable cables and equipment to be installed safely, traffic management will be in place to safely divert riders and pedestrians around machinery.
Day works will be from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday and 7am to 1pm, Saturdays.
There may be some night works (10pm to 7am) undertaken on the viaducts when trains are not running during February 2021.
There will be night works (9pm to 4am) Monday 15 to Friday 19 March, Monday 22 to Friday 26 March, Monday 29 March to Thursday 15 April, and Monday 26 April to Tuesday 29 April.
There will be 24 hour works Friday 16 to Monday 19 April 2021.
