An imbalance

There’s a serious gender imbalance in bike riding. In Australia, only one in three bike riders are women. Across our events, women make up less than 20% of participants. It’s time to bridge the gap.

Creating change

Our Women’s Community aims to encourage, empower and inspire more women and gender diverse people to ride bikes — through tailored initiatives across our events, programs and partnerships. Our goal is to support healthy and happy women and gender diverse people.

The community

Whether you’re new to riding, training for an event, getting back on the bike or simply want to connect with like-minded people, we’ve got something for you. We’re here to help you build your confidence and unlock the benefits of bike riding in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Our rides and events have been tailored to support women and gender diverse people of all ages and abilities.

What's on

“I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I wanted to prove to others that I could do it, and I wanted to feel confident enough in my own cycling that I could finish Peaks” – Meghan Thomas; Peaks finisher

What we do

Programs & events

From our award winning MIND.BODY.PEDAL program, to tailored support for women across our entire suite of events and programs.

We’re proud to be a Change Our Game champion, and are always looking to get involved with like-minded initiatives, like Women’s Health Week.

As Australia’s largest bike riding organisation, we understand the importance of female representation across all of our communications.
