A section of the Maribyrnong Trail through Kensington and West Melbourne is closed for three weeks while a stretch of the path is rebuilt.
Riders can still use the trail on the Footscray side of the river or take a detour through local streets on the east side of the river.
Contractors working for the City of Melbourne are demolishing the existing path and replacing it with new pavement.
Works are along a 300m stretch near the Holcim concrete plant.
Riders who don’t wish to cross to the Footscray side on the Flemington Stock Bridge or Hopetoun Bridge can detour along Hobsons Road to Kensington Road and then to the Dynon Road shared path.
