Riders along the Main Yarra Trail in Burnley and on the Gardiners Creek Trail under the freeway in Toorak will be paused periodically in the coming days while contractors fly drones above to inspect the elevated road.
These inspections will take approx. 3-5 minutes at a time and once complete, pedestrians/bike riders will be able to pass through.
Transurban is aiming to minimising impact during the peak hours by beginning works at around 9:00am and completing by 5:30pm
On Gardiners Creek the inspections will be undertaken on Monday 6 and Tuesday 7 December 2021.
At Burnley the inspections will be undertaken on Friday 3 December 2021 where activities within the Parks Victoria site from 9.30am-3pm will take advantage of a planned parks Victoria closure at the Harbour during this period.
After 3pm and the trail is back open, Transurban will continue work under stop/slow traffic management.
