Yarra Trams works with Public Transport Victoria (PTV) to carry out ongoing maintenance and renewal works across the network to ensure a safe and reliable tram network for future generations.
Sections of track on Swan Street between Dando Street and Burnley Street (including the intersection) and Wallen Road bridge have been identified for renewal works to ensure that this portion of the tram network is safe by reducing risk of derailments.
Businesses located around the works area will remain open. Pedestrian access to these businesses will remain open at all times.
Once the major works are complete, Yarra Trams will undertake close out works. This work may include pole installation and removal, permanent line-markings, and any remedial work.
