Damaged pavement along a section of the Scotchmans Creek Trail at Mount Waverley is being replaced.
Work starts on the Tuesday after Easter so riders should not be inconvenienced over the busy Easter weekend when many riders would usually be out and about.
The City of Monash is fixing damaged pavement in a roughly 400m section between Blackburn Road and Scammel Close.
Workers will remove and replace damaged concrete path bays, which requires the path to be closed at both ends.
Work starts on Tuesday 19 April and will be completed by Friday 29 April, weather permitting.
Working hours will be from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
