Two brand-new Parkiteer cages are now opened, thanks to the Level Crossing Removal Project on Manchester Road, Mooroolbark and Maroondah Highway, Lilydale, which also includes sections of rail duplication of the Lilydale line and a potential new station between Mooroolbark and Lilydale.
Lilydale Station
The previous Parkiteer cage is now rebuilt and incorporated into the new, relocated station in an effort to better integrate with the Lilydale town centre, improving walking and riding connections between the shopping centre, the new station and the Lilydale–Warburton Rail Trail.
The cage is located near the roundabout of John Street and William Street East, with 26 parking spaces.

Mooroolbark Station
Part of the level crossing removal on Manchester Road, which saw the construction of a rail bridge over the road, also includes a brand-new, 26-space Parkiteer cage that has been built into the new station.
The upgrade also includes improved walking and cycling connections between the town centre and new station, and through to the Red Earth Community Park.
Both cages are equipped with automatic doors which will allow easy access into the cage with a bike.
More Parkiteers to come
There have been a few new Parkiteers opened since the beginning of the year, and there will be several more Parkiteer cages in the pipeline for 2022 as part of the Level Crossing Removal Project and various station upgrades.
Parkiteer is free to use. Visit parkiteer.com.au to register and find your nearest Parkiteer bike parking cage.
