Silver City Trails opening

It's time to head west, with the new mountain bike trails in Zeehan officially opening on Saturday 10 December.

The West Coast MTB Club Tasmania and West Coast Council are putting on a BBQ at 1 pm followed by guided ride of the blue and green trails at 2.20 pm from the Silver City trailhead.

There are 7 new trails: green and blue trails in stacked loop formats and a black-rated adventure/enduro trail that traverses the Heemskirk Range.

Okines Community Bike Shed

There’s a new place you can take bikes you don’t use anymore to be fixed up for others to enjoy: the Okines Community House Bike Repair Shed.

Hobart maps open for cycling comments

The City of Hobart has opened an interactive map for people to make suggestions to improve cycling infrastructure in Lenah Valley, New Town, Mt Stuart and Battery Point before Sunday 4 December.

The suggestions will go into consideration for a “local area management plan” and approved projects will be included in the City’s 10 year capital works plan.

Final Bridgewater Bridge designs out

Final designs for the new Bridgewater Bridge have been released following public consultation. 

We've got the images for you that show the 3 metre wide shared path that people riding and walking will use to cross the bridge and how that will be accessed on either side of the river. The shared path is marked in pink and the 1.8 metre wide footpaths are marked in turquoise.
