Riders taking their bikes on trains in early February may encounter disruptions, with five lines to be affected by shutdowns.
The Sunbury, Williamston, Werribee, Hurstbridge and Frankston train lines will all undergo downtime in the coming fortnight, with buses to replace trains during certain periods.
Bikes are not permitted on buses, with the exception of Bromptons that are folded and bagged.
Evening travel will be affected on the Frankston line on Wednesday 8 February and Thursday 9 February, with buses replacing trains between South Yarra and Caulfield from 8:30pm until the last service on both nights.
On the Hurstbridge line, buses will replace trains between Eltham and Heidelberg from 8:30pm on Friday 10 February until the last service on Sunday February 12.
The Sunbury line will be impacted by two disruptions. The first sees buses replace trains between North Melbourne and Sunbury from 8:30pm on Friday 3 February up until the last service on Sunday February 05.
The second will see buses again replace trains between North Melbourne and Sunbury but only in the evenings, from 8:30pm on Wednesday 8 February until the last service on Sunday 13 February.
On the Williamstown line, buses will replace trains between North Melbourne and Williamstown from 8:30pm until the last service on Thursday 9 February.
The same applies for that weekend, with buses replacing trains between 8:30pm Friday 10 February until 8:30pm on Sunday 12 February.
On the Werribee line, buses will replace trains between North Melbourne and Werribee for one night, from 8:30pm until the last service on Sunday 12 February.
