Bike riders relying on train travel in the coming weeks should keep an eye out for disruptions, with five lines to be impacted by bus replacement services.
Bikes are not permitted on buses unless they are Bromptons that are folded and bagged.
Lines that will be affected by the disruptions are Frankston, Pakenham-Cranbourne, Mernda and Hurstbridge.
On the Frankston line, buses will replace trains:
- Between South Yarra and Caulfield from 11:00 pm Friday 24 February to 5:00 am Saturday 25 February
- Between Richmond and Caulfield from 8:30 pm until the last service on Sunday 26 February
- Between Caulfield and Moorabbin from 8:30 pm until the last service on both Tuesday 7 March and Wednesday 8 March
- Between South Yarra and Caulfield from 8:3 0pm until the last service on Thursday 9 March
On the Hurstbridge line, buses will replace trains:
- Between Parliament and Clifton Hill from 8:30 pm until the last service on both Monday 20 February and Tuesday 21 February
- Between Heidelberg and Greensborough from 8:30 pm until the last service on Friday 3 March, Saturday 4 March, Sunday 5 March, Monday 6 March and Tuesday 7 March
On the Mernda line, buses will replace trains:
- Between Parliament and Clifton Hill from 8:30 pm until the last service on both Monday 20 February and Tuesday 21 February
On the Pakenham-Cranbourne line, buses will replace trains between Carnegie and Westall:
- From 8:30 pm until the last service on Monday 20 February, Tuesday 21 February, Wednesday 22 February, and Thursday 23 February
- From 1:00 am and 8:30pm on Sunday 26 February
- From 8:30 pm until the last service on Monday 27 February, Tuesday 28 February and Wednesday 1 March
- From 1:00 am until the last service on Sunday 5 March
- From 9:00 pm until the last service on Sunday March 12
- From 8:30pm until the last service on Monday 13 March and Tuesday 14 March
