There will be temporary closures of the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail through West Melbourne in the coming fortnight.
The trail will be closed between Dynon Road and Footscray Road to allow crane lifts above the trail for bridge construction.
This means that if you come in to Docklands along the trail in Friday morning you will have to take the detour route in the evening. Don’t forget!
Regular riders will remember that there was a similar closure last November.
The suggested detour route, shown on the map, is the same one as was utilised at that time.
Commuters riding from the City can use La Trobe Street to Adderley Street to North Melbourne Station, then Laurens Street to Arden Street and then back onto the Creek.
If heading to Dynon Road and Footscray, riders can take Arden to Lloyd Street and connect through to Dynon Road.
Footscray Road Trail will remain open.
